You've seen the candle holders that I spray painted to match the wedding colors and here is a picture of it all put together.
This unity candle is DeeDee's, Justin's mother. She used it in her wedding, both of her daughters, Andrea and Jessica, used it in their weddings, and it's been passed down to Justin and I to use in ours. You know how much family means to me and I'm so glad that DeeDee is letting us use this. I love that a lot of the things that we are doing/using have some significance and ties back to both of our families. And see that hot pink ribbon...that's a little piece of Jessica's wedding that will be in ours! ;)

Love In Bloom
We finally got the flower seed match books finished up. I think they turned out great! I stuck some green in there. I know it's not the official wedding colors, but I thought it looked pretty and it's going to look nice on the tables with the flowers and burlap table runners! I can't wait for you to see how those tables are going to turn out! =)

To Know Love
Justin and I decided to add a second song to the wedding ceremony. It was going to be so short that by adding a second song, we could extend it to another 3 minutes! Ha ha. My dress was expensive and I want to stand on that alter for as long as I can! It's "To Know Love" and it's another Little Big Town song. Click here to listen to it on youtube (and sorry about the graphics, it's from the last Bachelorette, but I couldn't find it anywhere else!). I think that this song might be the one that we play during the unity candle lighting. Don't you think that it's more appropriate than "Bring it on Home" ?

DIY Photo Booth
Oh I'm so excited about this! When I started planning the wedding, I wanted to rent a real photo booth, but then came expense after expense, so I decided to nix the idea and save money. I've been thinking about it and thinking about it and we are going to have a diy photo booth!

First, you find a cool backdrop. I'm going to be using a striped sheet that I had in my dorm while in college.
It's white with pink, green and greenish yellow stripes.

Then you'll need a table for all the cameras. I think I'll just get a few disposable cameras. Won't that be the easiest thing to do?
And then you need cool props to take funny pictures with, like mardi gras masks, disguise glasses, mustaches on sticks, and message boards. Anyone have a message board or a chalk board we can borrow? If not, how do you think just pieces of paper with markers will work so that people can write their messages? And if you have any props that you would like to add, just let me know! Some funny hats would be cool! I'm thinking mini-sombrero from home! And Casie, you have to wear the Mexican blanket! ha ha!
I'm so excited about this! Me and my sisters (and my mama and daddy too!) love to take pictures, and goofy ones at that! And I think Justin's family and especially theater friends are going to love this! Aaah! can't wait!
UNT Shower
We've had several shower's since the lovely one we had in Aubrey, but I'm still working on getting the pictures. My friend and co-worker, Michelle, was so nice to take these pictures from my work shower. Thanks Michelle! I was really nervous about it, but it was so much fun! Dr. Thomas, one of the AVP's, gave us the best advice: "Treat your spouse as well as you treat your dog." Ha ha! You all know how spoiled Molly is. I guess I need to tone that down, or start spoiling Justin too! I did ask him afterwards if he wanted me to start scratching behind his ears and say "That's my Justin!" I just got a devil look. Ha!
It was a really nice shower. Justin got to come and put a face with all the names that I talk about on a regular basis. Look below to see all the fun we had!

Here are all the gifts we received. Aren't the so pretty! We got a lot of nice stuff!
The flower center piece for the table. These were from Reata, one of my supervisors. I got to take them home and now they are looking so, so, pretty on the coffee table!
As she was trying to take them of of the box, she some how managed to break off a piece of the vase it was in, so they left it in the box! It still looked pretty anyway!
The cake! It was from Davis bakery and oh it was so good! Special thanks to Boyd, Shelia, Reata, Ciara and Sue for putting this all together. They did a great job!
We started off eating pizza! Yum!
See how nice my ring looks! =) I promise I wasn't picking my nose!
Here we are with my boss, Boyd. He is so great to work for!
While we ate, everyone gave marital advice. Here are Emily and Kellye waiting their turn.
After all the advice and pizza, it was time to open gifts! Dr. Prasad, Dr. Sewell, Dr. Thomas and Sandy gave us this Kitchen Aid utensil set. I can't wait to use it! it came with 2 spoons, a spatula, grater, can opener, measuring cups and spoons, peeler and tongs.
Next up was Boyd's gift.
He got us a blanket. It's so soft and will look great in the winter time in the master bedroom!
AND, he got us a guide book for Puerto Villarta! He's the best to work for! This gift was so him and so personal! Thanks Boyd! I love it!
Lacy wasn't able to come to the shower, but she sent her gift. Inside the bag was a tiny little box with a tiny little pouch inside.
How cute! A little charm with our picture on it! She called Justin at work one day and they schemed this little thing up! Those sneekers!
Bethany got us something really great!
A wine rack! But where is the wine? That's ok, we stuck a bottle of whiskey in it when we got home. Ha ha :)
Everyone said that I would love Barbara's gift...
And I do! It's a salad spinner! It has a string you pull to make the inside spin. It's so cool!
PS- Justin can never make fun of my "squinty eyes" again when I'm laughing. Look at his!
After opening the gifts, we had cake! Here are Dr. Sewell and Trish, the IRB Chair (I work directly with her) talking shop. The are both from the Psychology department.
Glowing because of all the nice gifts we just got!
My best work friends. There is one more of us, Angelique, but she had already left.
Bethany, me, Michelle
And Michelle wanted to take a picture with the lovely couple!
It's over! Trish giving her well wishes to us and saying goodbye!
It was fun and I'm so glad I work with such nice people that were willing to throw the shower for us!
My Favorite Wedding Present
A lot of you know that I mentor a 6th grader at Calhoun Middle School through my church. Her name is Najah and she is a fantastic kid. I miss her so much already! I had mentioned once that I was getting married and a few times we talked a little about the details of the wedding, but not much. I mean, you can't really blame a 6th grader for not being head over heels excited about a wedding. Anyway, during our last meeting, while we were walking to the program room, she said "Oh! I have to go to my locker today!" "No problem." I said. I figured she had some homework that she wanted to work on during our session. On our way down the hall, she asked "So when is your wedding?" "In July. It's not very far away! I'm getting really excited!" I said. When she opened her locker, she pulled out this HUGE bag. Her smile was the biggest that I've seen yet and she handed it to me and said "I got you a wedding present!"I have to admit, I teared up a little! The surprise of the present plus the sheer excitment on Najah's face was one of the best feelings that I've had in a long time. I mentioned the cute little card on the bag, and she almost came out of her skin explaining to me how she made it just for me. I love that girl! Below is what I found inside the bag...
From the front left hand side, going back and to the right: Tea candles, a nice note from her mother thanking me for all the time I'd spent with Najah and congratulating me on my upcoming marriage, a heart shaped memory box, the cute card she made me (it was in the shape of a girls sun dress) a swan, a candle, a basket, 2 picture frames with bells and doves on them and a heart paper weight.

Ring Bearer
Justin's nephew, Jax, is going to be the ring bearer for the wedding. Here he is in his attire! He looks so handsome! He'll have a mini-version of the grooms boutonniere so he'll have the dark pink incorporated in his outfit as well! I love the no-vest look. It's very nice and classy but not too over the top.
